Company Updates

SourceDay Has a New CFO: Paul Willson

Every now and then, a company is lucky enough to hire a singular talent. At SourceDay, we’ve been lucky enough to hire a bunch.

Now, make it a bunch plus one.

Introducing Paul Willson, our new Chief Finance Officer.

He’s got a LOT of experience with finance and startups. Budgeting, analytics, management reporting, and financial planning are all right in his wheelhouse.

He’s worked in true cloud software for over 20 years, which means he understands exactly what it takes for a company like SourceDay to succeed at the highest level.

Paul is cooler than the other side of the pillow, and we’re not just talking about his killer style.

He’s calm, collected, and easygoing.

Paul comes to us by way of Rev and a company called Compeat, where he was the CFO. Compeat sold to restaurants, which meant they were in a lot of danger in 2020. Not only did they survive, they worked themselves into a better position and were able to sell the company. Paul’s no slouch.

He’s got three kids, loves cheering for the Texas Longhorns, and reads quite a bit. He dreams of becoming an expert mogul skier.

Paul’s Top Priorities at SourceDay

  • Help set the company up to scale as we grow.
  • Provide the metrics necessary to better inform our decision making.
  • Provide an everyday, in the office focus on operations to help SourceDay become the best company it can be.

SourceDay represents everything I look for in a company: SaaS, demonstrated product-market fit, high-growth, well-capitalized, Austin-based, a great culture, and most importantly, a great team of people. What’s not to like?
