Hi. My name is Jim Fry. For more than thirty years, I’ve worked with hundreds of manufacturing and distribution companies to help them improve operational efficiencies across their enterprise. The last fifteen years with Epicor Software as a product expert, I’m familiar with the platform that you’re currently working with and the capabilities of the ERP solution in general. Recently, I’ve shifted my attention and now I focus much more acutely on supplier collaboration. And the main reason for that is that I recognized that in working with those organizations over the years, supply chain disruption is a major challenge for most product based companies. And so the key takeaway to that, of course, is that most organizations are relegated to using very manual processes to manage the supply chain in general. And so they’re used to using spreadsheets, email and phone communication to acknowledge purchase orders, initiate changes and then follow-up and expedite as appropriate. And so those manual processes require quite a bit of care and feeding from the procurement team as a result. And as a finance and accounting leader at your organization, there are some fiduciary responsibilities incumbent upon you to look at better ways to drive hard cost savings and productivity gains. So there are some downstream benefits associated with improved supplier on time delivery. A few of those include, of course, revenue protection because if we can’t receive our raw materials on time, we can’t produce on time, we can’t ship on time, and we can’t recognize revenue.
